Free 10 or 25 Box Tops for Your School

With the great $4 off 8 Promotion running at Kroger this week, you will find that many of the products qualify for bonus Box Tops for your School!

The Grocery Game has the run down on what to buy with what coupons and your savings for this week. I walked out last night spending $50 and saved $115. That was a total of $165 of groceries. Yay!

It was an over 67% savings, and mind you.....I had to buy Draino and a few other products that we NEEDED that were not discounted.

At the end when my catalinas and coupons printed, a code for 25 Bonus Box Tops printed. I logged in today to enter the code and my school got another $2.50. I love free donations. I track these as part of my savings, since we keep track of how much we donate each year against our budget.

Even though I am not personally funding the donation and the companies are, I put the work into clipping Box Tops, loading my Kroger Donation card, signing up for programs such as these, etc. So, I do count this towards are total we budget to donate each year. Just remember, you can't take these donations off on taxes, of course. :)

So here is how you can participate, too.

10 or 24 Bonus Box Tops thru 9/9/10

  • Go here to register. Your school will also get 5 Box Tops when you register!
  • Enter your Grocery Shopping Card and the school you want to support
  • Buy any of these participating products here
  • Watch for your Print out with your code after shopping
  • Go here to enter your code

Free or $ Maker on Dannon Dan-o-nino

My kids love the Dan-o-nino products, so I am happy to see I can grab them free at Kroger this week with the $5 off 10 promotion. Please remember you need to buy exactly 10 participating products to get the $5 off. And, you can buy more, but you will then need to get to 20 products to get $10 back, etc, etc. If you buy more than 10 ( 20, 30, etc ), your savings decreases.

So, combine this Dan-o-nino scenario with your other participating products to get these prices.

Here is the deal:

  • Dan-o-nino on sale for $2.29
  • With $5 off 10 promotion, price drops to $1.79
You can mix and match or change this scenario depending on the coupons you have. Here is what I have.

But, you can get additional coupons
  • ( 2 ) $1.00 off coupon from Dannon website here
Then, get up to $2.00 back via Kroger Catalina. It is $1.00 back for 2, $1.50 back for 3, or $2.00 back for 4 or more. Click here to print a copy of the Catalina to take to the store for back up. You never know when yours won't print.

So, here is how it worked out for me.
  • I spent $5.37 for 3 Dan-o-ninos at $1.79 each
  • I got $4.00 off with coupons ( used 2-$1.50 coupons and 1-$1.00 off coupon )
  • I got $1.50 back via Catalina
Final price was a profit of $.13. I made money.

Remember, I love saving tons of money on groceries each week via The Grocery Game and my Sunday paper. Read how I save while grocery shopping for my family here.

If you have not subscribed to your Sunday paper yet, click here to order yours. The coupon inserts combined with sales will substantially decrease your grocery bill.

Earn Money when you Print your Coupons.com/Smartsource Coupons

New to saving for your family via Grocery savings? Click here to read how I get my coupon/sale match ups and save my family thousands of dollars each year.

Well, since some new coupons have been loaded to their database, I thought it was a great time to share how to earn when you print your coupons!

Earn when you Print

In the past, you have heard me tell you that you can print your Coupons.com coupons ( and SmartSource ) thru My Points and earn points when you print and redeem them. These points are then used towards gift cards, etc.

But, if you didn't know...Inbox Dollars also pays you to print and redeem your coupons. For every 10 coupons you print/redeem, you earn $1. This means each coupon you print will be worth 10 cents more when you redeem it!

Since you can print each coupon twice, this means you only really need to redeem on 5 different products. And, it is for every 10...over and over again. So, if you redeem many more, your earnings could grow.

If you aren't familiar with Inbox Dollars yet, it is a great site. You can read my original review of it here.

You can sign up or login in here to print the new coupons from Inbox Dollars. Plus, you get a $5 sign on bonus if a new member! Once on their site, click the Grocery Coupons button on the left side of the screen.

Don't forget to sign up with My Points here , too, if you haven't already. Remember, you earn points when you print from their site. Since Inbox Dollars only has Coupons.com, I would also sign up with this company to earn when you print your SmartSource coupons.

If you would rather just print directly from Coupons.com and not earn when you print, you can go here.

What is a great deal you can get at Kroger this week with a Coupons.com Coupon?

Make Money on Betty Crocker Potatoes

At Kroger this week:
  • Buy 3 Betty Crocker Pouch Potatoes at $1 each - $3 Total
  • Print/Use 2 Betty Crocker Potato 40 Cent Off Coupons at Inbox Dollars here or print them directly here. These double to 80 cents each.
  • Print/Use Betty Crocker Potato 40 Cent Off Coupons at Smartsource here via My Points
  • Get $3 back per their current Catalina deal ( read more here on Mommy Snacks )
  • Pay 60 cents Out of Pocket ( $3 total minus $2.40 in coupons )
  • Earn $3 Catalina
  • Earn 20 cents on Inbox Dollars and points on My Points
  • Make $2.60 plus points

Free Wheaties Fuel at Kroger

The Grocery Game has the weekly Kroger list up, so I was preparing for my weekly shopping trip and I saw this great price.

New to the Grocery Game? Click here to read how I save over 50% each week via this database/shopping list.

Many Kroger stores ( I saw these at one of my local stores ) have discontinued the Wheaties Fuel and have them marked down to $1.

Match this sale price up with your $1 off coupon from the Feb 21st Sunday paper insert, OR click here to go to the Shop at Home printable coupon database and print the coupons for this deal. Looks as if you may be able to print it up to 4 times, so that could be a nice stockpile of cereal. :)

Grocery Deals this Week! 69 Cents Juice & More

Pulled my grocery game lists for the week, have my coupons ready to go, checked all my electronic coupons and I am off!

Well, almost.

Since I have found the Shop at Home coupon database, I now quickly do a check for any printable coupons to match up to my Grocery Game list.

Once you have your list, click here to go to their Grocery coupons database and search on the product listed in the search box.

Here are some examples of Shop at Home printable that match up with this week's Grocery Game list.

  • Green Giant Steamers at Kroger - down to $.38 from $2.39 w/printable
  • Old Orchard Healthy Balance Juice at Meijer - down to $.69 from $2.59 w/printable/promotion

There are many, many more. But, I think you get the idea. Often times, printable may be worth more than the coupons that come in the Sunday paper. It never hurts to check.

To see if any product has printable coupons to match, you can go here anytime and enter the name of the product in the search box. Shop at Home's Grocery database will bring back printable coupons that will match. Here are a few quick examples:

Hurry! All You Magazine Subscription Deal

One of my favorite ( and only ) magazine subscriptions that I actually pay for because of the tons of coupons included each month. Be prepared to match these with great sales at the grocery store via the Grocery Game and save, save, save!

I know many of you missed the last All You deal I shared last month and wrote me afterward wanting to take advantage. Well, it is back. But, only until this Friday, March 12th!

Here are some details about the promotion:

On the actual All You website, they are selling it for $1.99 an issue w/subscription or approx. $24 a year.

But with this deal, you are receiving 40 issues ( that is 3 years and 4 months ) for $28, or 70 cents an issue. Much cheaper!

This promotion is thru Campus Fundraiser. Usually, they sell magazines and a portion of those funds go to a designated college. But, they are taking that portion and passing it back to us! This is how you are getting such a low price.

70 Cents an Issue - All You

Would you like to get your magazine or add on these additional years to your current subscription?
  • Click here to order by March 12h
  • Order 40 issues of All You for $40
  • Campus Fundraiser then issues a $12 credit back to your payment method bringing your cost to $28
  • The refund will show up within 2 to 5 days, depending on your payment method. Debit card refunds seem to show up quicker than credit card refunds, for whatever reason.
Some other tips:
  • If adding on to a current subscription, make sure all information is EXACTLY the same
  • Want 2 subscriptions each month for the coupons then order one in another name (spouse, etc)
  • Once you place your order, wait up to 24 hours for payment confirmation email.
  • The $12 credit only applies to magazines that are $40. So, there are other titles to choose from, if you are interested.
  • Your subscription will begin in 10 to 12 weeks
Enjoy!

Reminder: All You Magazine - 67 Cents an Issue or $8 a year

Reminder: Today is the LAST day to get All You at 67 cents an issue, or just over $8 a year!

If you haven't ever bought an All You magazine before, it is great mag for those that are coupon shoppers. Each issue is full of manufacturer coupons worth $50 or more.

I couldn't pass up this deal. I am taking advantage and get 40 extra issues ( that is 3 years and 4 months for those like me who had to figure it out ) for $27.

If you are new to the magazine All You, then it is definitely one money savers want to get every month. Most of the magazines I receive I got for $0 of pocket thru special promotions, etc. But, All You is the only magazine will pay for each month due to all the coupons. F

For February, there are approx. $50 worth of coupons.

It is not only a great magazine but also in just chuck full of coupons. Yes, I know, this is my 3rd post today on couponing. But, you can save your family SO much money by matching coupons with sale items each week. Use that extra money you save ( track it ) and pay off debt, set up your retirement account, college savings accounts, etc. Saving money is important, just as earning is...and you don't pay taxes on savings! :)

Anyway, back to All You!

On their website, they are selling it for $1.99 an issue w/subscription or approx. $24 a year. You are getting over 3 years for almost the same price.

And, the other promotion I shared last year for this magazine was $10 thru Southern Living. So, this is even cheaper than that.

This promotion is thru Campus Fundraiser. Usually, they sell magazines and a portion of those funds go to a designated college. But, they are taking that portion and passing it back to us! This is how you are getting such a low price.

67 Cents an Issue - All You

Would you like to get your magazine or add on these additional years to your current subscription?
  • Update: This promotion is now over! Click here to order by February 13th
  • Click on the Support our Group link on that page
  • Order 40 issues of All You for $40
  • Campus Fundraiser then issues a $13 credit back to your payment method bringing your cost to $27
  • The refund will show up within 2 to 5 days, depending on your payment method.
  • The $13 credit only applies to magazines that are $40. So, there are other titles to choose from, if you are interested.
  • Your subscription will begin in 10 to 12 weeks
Enjoy!

$4 for 20 Purex Laundry Detergents plus More

Technically, I only paid $1.95 at Kroger, but I added the cost of eBay, and am right under $4 with both.

Since the sale was so great on laundry detergent this week, I decided to stock pile. We should be set for quite awhile, which will save us on future shopping trips. And, don't worry everyone, there were TONS left at the stores I hit.

Why I am writing this post is to share some helpful tips:

  • You can order coupons on eBay when great sales like this come around. I got the coupons free, but you do have to pay the cost of the labor for the seller to cut, ship and mail them to you. I spent $1.98 for 20 coupons.
  • Your Kroger MAY limit you on how many items you can find.
My store manager was NOT happy with me today. I checked out with my very first set ( 2 laundry detergents and an apple, which was 25 cents ). My total came to $.10 after coupons. I had a $4 Catalina from when I had shopped earlier in the week and bought 2 Purex detergents, so my total came to 10 cents.

The clerk looked at the total and said, "hold on." She went and got the manager and asked if this was OK for me to only pay 10 cents.

The manager said yes, that the coupons were valid, but that I could not do my next transaction because it was for my next shopping trip. So, I asked how long I had to leave the store and come back. I had my mom with me, and wanted to make sure I knew when I could come back to get more.

I think she was surprised I asked, because she said, "That's fine." So, the clerk rang up 2 more transactions. But, then the manager came back and said, "No more. You can have these 6, but that is it."

They took the rest back and so I left paying 30 cents. I was happy with that. My next Kroger is just down the road, so for this type of savings, it was worth going to the next location.

At that store, we didn't have any issues.

When I got home, I called Kroger to see what their coupon policy is, since I have never had an issue before.

I was told:

EACH store, the manager has the discretion to decide if they will accept, deny or limit the amount of coupons a customer can use.

So, go in knowing you may be limited. If I had known that, I would have asked the manager on the way in first so I hadn't wheeled so many up to the front of the store. Would have saved me time and them time restocking the shelves.

You may want to stop at the customer service desk when going in the store to ask if they have a limit.

My store has a limit of 6, I found out, per my manger. :) Good to know. And, this doesn't mean you can't go to another store or shop another day. I was told I could come back another time.

  • If your Catalina doesn't print, don't fret!

Here are some helpful hints going forward. If you check your printed coupons each shopping trip, often times the upcoming Catalina deals will print out there. I keep these in the front of my coupon carrier for future reference or back up.

If you saw the upcoming Catalina deal in a paper or ad, just tear it out and keep it with your coupons.

For this particular deal, I have a copy of the print out. Let me know if you need it and I can email it to you. I have already had to send it to someone else when their $4 didn't print, and I don't mind at all.

I think that is it! Enjoy this great stockpiling event!

Free Bleach, 5 Cent Pillsbury Biscuits and more at Kroger

If you haven't heard yet, Ohio is one of the states in the huge snow storm that came across the U.S. this week. We have been out of school and snowed in for the week, and last night I was FINALLY able to get to the grocery store.

For all of this, I have paid $1.81 after sale, coupons, catalinas, Upromise eCoupons, etc. Yay!

So, I wanted to mention a few other deals that were not included on our Grocery Game list for the week:

  • Remember, Free or Money Maker w/ Purex Laundry Detergent - If you got the Kroger Coupon Mailer this week like me, there was a $1.00 off 1 Purex coupon included. It makes this an even better deal - click here to read the details
  • Free Bleach w/ the Purex Deal - At the end of my aisle was a large display for the promotion, and on it was a tear pad for coupons. Get one free Bleach with 2 Purex Detergents bought. This matches up perfectly with the Purex deal. Look for your tear pads, too.
  • 8 Pack of Bounty Paper Towels, Reg $9.99 for $3.13 - On sale for $6.99. With the $.30 off if you Buy 10 ( Mix and Match ) Promotion it comes down to $6.69. Kroger mailed out their coupons for the Promotion this week. Mine came in the mail yesterday, look for yours and had a $1.50 Off Bounty Paper Towels. This brings it down to $5.19. Stack the Upromise $2.00 Off eCoupon and it brings it down to $3.19. Even if you didn't get the Kroger coupon in the mail, you do have a $.25 Off coupon from the Sunday paper which doubles to $.50 bringing your total to $4.19, which is still well over 50% off.
  • Pillsbury Grand Biscuits 8 count for 5 cents! - Reg $2.09 and on sale for $1.29. With the Buy 10 ( Mix and Match ) get $3.00 off Promo, the price drops to 99 cents. Buy 6, your total is $5.94. Use 2 $.40/3 ( doubled to 80 cents off each ) coupons from the Dec 6th, Dec 12th and Jan 3rd papers. Your price is now $4.34 for 6. They currently have a Catalina Deal that if you buy 6, you get a $4.00 reward back. You can go to Mommy Snacks to read about the Catalina deal here. This brings your price to $.34 for 6, or 5 cents a piece!
  • SoftSoap, $.18 - Don't miss that on your grocery game list
  • Free Suave Deo - Check your grocery game list
  • Free Gatorade - Check your grocery game list
Of course, there were many more deals, but these were the ones that were additional to our Grocery Game list and I wanted to highlight.

Don't forget, if you haven't loaded your Upromise eCoupons yet, it is time. Go here to log in or register.

New to Upromise? It is free to join and a great way to save extra money. You can either use it to save for college or you can cash it out. I have over $200 on the way that I cashed out earlier this month. So excited!

There are multiples ways to save, but the easiest is to enter your store shopping card ( so for me, that is my Meijer, CVS, etc cards ). Then, when you buy participating items, they give you money back in your account.

Free Movie Tickets, 5 Bonus Box Tops and Cereal!

My hands are cramping! If you are a friend of mine on Facebook, you have probably already heard me complaining about this problem. And, it is not from blogging a lot. In fact, if you haven't noticed, I have been blogging less the last week. I even missed quite a few days.

And, the reason?

I have been cutting Box Tops! I am the coordinator for my son's elementary school PTA and the end of February is our submission for a check. And, if you didn't know, Box Tops need to be trimmed before submission. As of tonight, I am up to $550, which means approx. 5,500 Box Tops have been cut down in the last week!

Of course, I must say thanks to the Moms/Dads who submitted theirs to the school already trimmed down for me. But, they are few and far between. Do you submit Box Tops to your child's school? If so, consider trimming them every time you take them off a product. I trim mine immediately before I put them in the baggy in my drawer ( where I diligently store mine ). Believe me, if you trim them, your school's coordinator will be very happy! :)

Earn 5 Bonus Box Tops for your School Online

Today, I am pleased to announce that Box Tops 4 Education and Kroger and their sister stores have an online promotion where your school will earn 5 Box Tops for every family that registers. I highly encourage you to take these few moments and sign up so your local school can earn extra money.
  • Register here for free ( remember to set up with your "deals" email account for newsletters, loyalty programs, etc )
  • Select your school and they get 5 Bonus Box Tops electronically into their account
  • Select from the available offers and load your Kroger Shopping Card #
  • When you shop and buy the products selected, your school gets even MORE Box Tops electronically.
Box Tops plus Free Movie Tickets

Recently, I learned the General Mills was lowering sugar in their cereals. Read my review on this here.

When I went to the store to pick up 4 boxes of cereal for my kids to try, I immediately noticed that specific boxes had Free Movie codes in them. For each 2 codes, you get a Free Movie Ticket. So, now not only was I getting Box Tops for my child's school, BUT free movie tickets! Yay!

I bought 4 boxes, and due to this now have 2 Free Movie Tickets. Guess what my husband and I are doing for Valentine's Day? Yep, Free Movies for us!

The photo above shows what I printed out from my PC after entering my codes from the cereal boxes. Now, I just take these forms to my local theater to view a movie.

When you shop your next General Mills Cereal sale/coupons, look for boxes with the Free Movie code included.

Hey, and if anyone has a suggestions for good movies they have recently seen are still at the show right now, please leave a comment below. I am not sure what movie to take my husband too next week.

When Neighbors in Foreclosure Benefit you

Hmmm..not sure I like the title of this post.

Because, frankly, I would rather my neighbors NOT be in foreclosure and have vacant homes on my street.

Currently, a few doors up, we have two empty homes. It is very frustrating, although I must admit that winter is better than summer. At least the grass isn't going to be overgrown. Before that, a few years ago, a 3rd home on our street was also in foreclosure.

If you have been in a neighborhood with empty homes before, you know it takes the bank FOREVER to get the homes on the market and sold. They literally sit there for months and months and months.

How is this helping my property value?

Regardless, today I decided to finally take advantage of the empty homes. Since no one is living there, the papers have been piling up in both driveways. One of them had 6, and the other had 4.

Everyday when I drove onto my street, I had to pass these piles of papers in the driveway. Today, I was pulling my paper in and saw the coupon inserts and thought...wait a minute! Why didn't I think of this before.

So, I walked up there, and brought all the papers home. I pulled all the coupon inserts and am recycling all the paper ( taking it to my sons school, which then earns them money ).

So, it is a win-win. Coupon savings for me and earnings for the local elementary school!

Don't get me wrong, I would rather the neighbors had not foreclosed. But, I can't change that. And, if no one is going to pick those papers up ( which they obviously are not after all this time ) then I am going to utilize them.

I will note: these are not subscription papers, but the free inserts and papers they throw into all the driveways in my area. :)
