Hotspex - Surveys for Amazon Gift Certificates AND Online Offer Update

Surveys, surveys, surveys! I feel like that is almost all I have been blogging about lately.

If you haven't been able to tell, I usually write my blog based on what I am doing in my everyday life to earn and save extra money for my family.

My favorite method is Online Offers but, I have not been able to find any good Online Offers lately. So, Surveys and Market Research have become something I have been spending more time on lately and thus writing about more.

But, do not fear.........I have decided to start testing some of the new Online Offers that have come out over the past year. They are with companies I have not had experience with yet, so we will see how they pan out.

I have also decided that since so many of you have been writing me wanting to know when new Online Offers will come out, I will test them via my blog. Meaning? I am going to let you know which one I am doing and give you weekly updates on how it is progressing and when my money finally comes. This way, you can either follow along with me or wait and see how it turns out for me before starting.

Of course if things go wrong, I will report on that, too. Hopefully via testing, we will find some of these new companies to be legit and we can all begin earning more this year again. Look for an Online Offer update coming soon.

Until then, surveys are still one of my favorite money makers. And, one of the companies I have been a member of for years has finally made a change that warrants it being mentioned on my blog.

Hotspex

Up to this point, Hotspex has been a great company BUT they only awarded their BUX as rewards to be exchanged for entries into drawings for prizes. Since this was not a guaranteed money maker, I decided not to post about it over the last 2 years. I tend to usually only fill out surveys if I am guaranteed to earn and usually only share those types of companies with you.

Well, Hotspex has finally updated their rewards program and you can now exchange your BUX for Amazon gift cards. This is not a drawing but simply a way for you to use your accumulated rewards. Yay!

New and Updated Instructions

I have been reading around the web that a few new tricks are in place to earn credit for online offers. I haven't been able to determine if these extra steps are required, but it appears these steps trigger credit on specific offers you complete for specific sites. Since it doesn't always appear to be the case, but is in some cases I decided to update the instructions for all sites. This way, we are being safe.

Whatever the case, they are very easy steps:

• During the beginning survey questions ( where you usually have the option to skip them all ) click YES to at least 2 of them. You do not need to sign up for anything, as clicking yes will simply open a new window explaining the offer. But, it gives you the opportunity to read more and decide if an offer is for you. So, I am just randomly picking 2 I think I would be interested in myself.
• After you complete all your offers, now go to the Bonus Offers page and click on one of the bonus offers. Again, you don't have to complete it but simply have it open in another window and it gives you the chance to read more about that particular bonus offer.

If you haven't don't this in the past, do not worry. It shouldn't affect anything, but just a few extra steps to ensure proper crediting going forward depending on what sites you do. Better to be safe than sorry.

Online Offers - 10K Challenge

So, I want to go thru each step of my 2010 Challenge and share it with everyone. As always, please leave comments on your own goal in this category, past experiences ( good and bad, please ) and any helpful insight you may have.

Let's get started:

Before reading this post, go here to read all about Online Offers and how I have used this method for years. It will give you an overview of what Online Offers are, how to earn with them and helpful hints to earn your money.

First, as you saw in my previous post my goal is $4,000 for Online Offers. I am hoping to earn $1,000 per quarter for our family. This is the bulk of my $10K goal and you can see my whole challenge here. It is important to note, I will have to spend some to earn that $4,000, but do keep track of it all. You should, hopefully, be able to deduct those expenses that were required to earn your money.

So, how do I personally plan to do this and how have I earned with this method in the past?

Online Offers - $4,000

1. I rotate companies - I know many of you get comfortable with a company ( IDeal for example ) and want to keep doing their sites over and over instead of trying Netblue or Nuitech. BUT, you open yourself up to difficulties when doing this.

Some companies have caps on how much you can earn per year, how many offers you can duplicate, etc. When you do only one company, you risk being DQ'd AND running out of offers to do. I plan to do two different companies per quarter. So, for example, one IDeal and Nuitech. Next quarter, maybe a Nuitech and a Netblue, etc, etc.


2. I also set up an email address for each company. So, all IDeal sites have one specific address, all Nuitech have their own email, etc. This helps when you go to sign up for offers within the site to earn your points. This keeps records straight per company and easier to manage.


3. I have my husband do some of the companies ( IDeal, Nuitech, etc ), too. That way we can both complete offers if it is not one per household.

By this I mean, if one of the offers is for some lotion, for example, and it is one intro offer per person, we can both do it then. I can do mine on my IDeal site and he can do it on his Nuitech site. Make sense? If I was the only one taking part, I may not be able to do that offer again since I had already completed it on the IDeal site.


4. If not using virtual credit card numbers ( you should be ), then use a separate credit card per company ( Nuitech, IDeal, etc ). This keeps your records clean plus helps when you sign up for one offer and your husband signs up for one, too. Then, each of you have your own records and it will allow you to set up an account per person with that specific offer.

I cannot stress enough that just because one company has a higher payout and is quicker to complete that it makes it the "go to" company and your only choice. The key to success is earning with multiple companies. Even if you make less with one company, you are STILL making money! It is still profit and money we didn't have before.

So, to get us all started I have a list of offers to choose from for each company. Some of these are new and some you may have seen posted on my Online Offers page before. Free Mileage Tracker Software for All!

You may remember when I originally introduced Outright to the readers of my blog. At the time, they were offering a free promotion ( your own domain address ) to try their free program. ( yes, this is all free! )

Besides just sharing that you could get a free web address, I really wanted to pass on the information about this great program.

Many of you are taking part in money earners that I have discussed on my site. Whether this is Online Offers, Blogging, Mystery Shopping, Surveys, Market Research, etc, you are earning money and will have expenses you can deduct.

Based on what I have heard from many of my readers, you have exceeded that $600 threshold so that the companies will need to report your income to the IRS, which means you will be receiving your 1099s after the first of the year.

But, are you ready with your deductions? Do you have any idea how much tax you might owe ( so you have been setting it aside ). Have you tracked you income, so you are sure everything matches up?

Outright is great for this. I use it myself, and it automatically estimates what I will owe for taxes and I can input all my deductions as they happen, so I don't forget about them. I log everything here.

Well, I am happy to report, they just added a new feature...mileage tracker! Yay!


Remember, if you drive to a Mystery Shop and back, that mileage is deductible. Did you need to go somewhere for your Market Research company? Did you need to pick your $500 gift card up from the Fed Ex location? What about running to the post office to mail your redemption forms? Did you go to a Blogging Conference?

I LOVE this addition to their program. You input your address and then the address of the location you are going. Hit get mileage and it immediately calculates your deduction based on the rate from the IRS. Then it has a spot for the date and trip details to categorize it. You click save, and it will pull in with all your income and expenses to update your records and estimates for taxes owed for the year.

Nuitech offers Update: Terms changed to 6 days!!!

Wow!!! So many have you been writing me via email and facebook letting me know about this great update to Nuitech terms!!! I am so thrilled, and thank you to all of you!

If everyone remembers, Nuitech originally had the 60 day terms. Simply put, this meant that when you signed up for an offer, you needed to remain a member of all but 2 of the offers for 60 days. This scared many of you away.

Next, they changed their terms to 30 days for all but 2 offers. This was a bit better!

BUT...now....it is only 6 DAYS!!!!! Seriously! This means that Nuitech offers are now much more competitive with all those IDeal offers you have all loved for so long.

Plus, Nuitech has other advantages. You can get manual credit for offers that don't come thru ( no replacement offers...thus saving you money ) and they even have a phone number to talk to a live person. This is one of the features I have always liked when I completed Nuitech. Their customer service has always been so kind and helpful.

So, to celebrate this new update to their terms and conditions, I have decided to dedicate this post to Nuitech offers and list all the new and old ones I could find!

Remember, always copy the terms/conditions when signing up for an offer, so if they do ever change again you have your original terms as back up for your offer.

Many New Nuitech Offers!

For IDeal offers, there is a limit of $1,000 in gifts every 6 months from each of their sub sites. This means, if any gift you do has MORE than just the $500 gift card ( free Tshirt, free candy, free iPod..whatever ) that puts you OVER the $1,000 limit if you pair it with another $500 offer. So, please take this into consideration when choosing to do more than one offer in a 6 month period.
