$20 Reward Free from Big Buck Surveys

I really enjoyed this recent opportunity for $20!

Before I begin my post, I just did this the other day. So, I have not gotten my $20 yet. They say it will take up to 8 weeks and you will be paid via Paypal. But, I definitely did this offer, because it is well worth the few minutes to see if it arrives.

First, Big Buck Surveys usually does not give money away regularly. Primarily, they have you take part in "online offer" type surveys and your name gets entered into a drawing. So, I usually don't type about them on my site, as there is no guarantee of money with a drawing.

But, this time, your name goes into a drawing AND you are to receive a $20 reward.

Before you start, click on the Participation Terms link and make sure to copy this. There is a phrase at the very bottom, Cash Incentives. This is the section you want to have handy as it explains this $20 promotion. I would also do a screen print quickly and save to Word ( or wherever ) of that sign up page, and copy the url on that same Word document. It is just always handy to have documentation.

Next, register and then complete the survey questions. These questions are similar to the ones at the start of an online offer. So, they are more like little advertisements you can read and either click if you are interested.

I actually sent this to my "online offers" email account. If you do this, make sure you have a paypal account set up with this same email address otherwise how will you get paid? Also, make sure to go to the email account then and confirm the invite them send you.

It didn't take me long at all and I am looking forward to 8 weeks from now!

Fisher Price Toys Deal at Amazon.com

Did you take part in the last MegaBlocks deal that Amazon.com was running earlier? I did, and it was a great way to stock up on toys.

Old Navy Shopping Spectacular!

Here is a picture of what I got at Old Navy yesterday during their 50% off already reduced price merchandise!

My savings came to 74% off for all the clothes, so almost at my target "sale shopping" savings mark. I saved my family $141.61!

My goal is always to try and be at 75% off or more. But, as you can tell, I do fluctuate a bit and was willing to take 74% off. For the year, though, when I averaged ALL my sale shopping finds, I am at 77% off. So, I am doing better than planned. Yay!

This trip allowed me to start my "school shopping" for my son. I have already picked up quite a few other finds for my daughter over the last few months. In fact, I think Limited Too/Justice still has a few deeply clearanced items ( they only had a couple the other day ) if you want to check for yourself. Here is my original post on their recent blowout.

And, I also picked up a few sweaters for my daughter to add to her Christmas gifts.

Old Navy currently has their items marked down and then you will get another 50% off the lowest marked price. The racks are clearly marked, which is very nice and made it a breeze to run in and out with my loot.

When I talked to them, I was told the sale would run thru Saturday. But, call your store to verify. You can click here to find your local store's phone number.

How did I do on prices?

Well, I got 3 polo shirts for my 6 year old son, priced $2.49 to $2.99! I got two hooded sweatshirts for $4.99. He likes to wear these over T-shirts with jeans to school. And, those three hooded sweaters for my daughter? They were just over $3!

I also picked up two matching baby outfits for a girlfriend who just had twins. I got each for just over $3, too.

Survey Stats & New Survey Company - Permission Research

I had another promising week of taking surveys. I have really gotten into a groove and am enjoying this "testing" period for myself and all of you.

Remember, if you would like to earn extra money doing surveys from home, click here or go to my Surveys button in the left menu bar at anytime.

Some have asked me how I am getting all my screeners in a day, etc. But, I really only get about 5 to 9 a day. I keep my "surveys" email up on my PC for most of the day. And, as I walk by my computer room (while straightening up, etc ) I have been doing one screener at at a time. Most take anywhere from 20 seconds to a few minutes to see if I qualify. If I do, then I need to set aside the appropriate amount of time to take the survey.

I did get a bit behind and have 11 setting in my email account right now due to not logging onto my PC over the Holiday weekend, but I hope to get caught up a bit today.

Permission Research

First, let me introduce you to a new survey company, Permission Research.

You will notice,the site says you can download software that will track your activity online. You are free to do this, and will get access to other free benefits by doing this.

Or, you can choose to skip this part and just sign up to receive survey invitations.

When you sign up, simply go thru the pages to enroll. Then, on the last page it will ask if you want to download software. I skipped this part. There is a button that allows you to bypass this section.

Now, you are simply enrolled with Permission Research and will begin to receive invites in your "survey" inbox for surveys to earn points. The points can then be redeemed for gifts.

I got my $50 Gift Card from my test drive of the Dodge just recently. And, I hadn't seen any other worthwhile test drives since.

So, I was excited to find this great post from Centstible.net regarding this test drive offer. If you get a chance, sign up for her Test Drive forum and begin to get updates as others post offers they find around the U.S.

Free Gardening Shears and Magazine

Free Trial alert! Free Trial Alert!

I love Gardening How-To! I have been a Trial member in the past, and I have also been a paying member! In fact, I have known about this company for years now.

If you are a long time reader, you know I love my flower gardens. In fact, it is one of the other reasons I took those days off of blogging last week. I was pruning, weeding, cutting, transplanting and just having fun, fun, fun in my flower gardens during the times we weren't with family. You should see my roses! They are HUGE!

So, Gardening How-To has been a magazine that was very handy to me when I first started planting my gardens at our home.

But, even though I am not a member now, they still send me welcome back packets and include seed packets for me. Every year, I have seeds planted that I receive free from them. I have received Poppy, Babies Breath, Coneflowers, etc! And, the seeds always do well! And, I have never signed up but that one year. I look forward to my free flowers every year. I just planted mine!!

On top of that, if you sign up for their 30 day free trial right now, you get one issue of their magazine and also cutting shears and transplanter. When I had signed up for their trials in the past, I received a form to fill out and send back for the items. I am not sure if it is still the same way or not, but I plan to find out.

If you stay a member ( it is $1 a month ), you begin to get their magazine and in addition, you can sign up to be a product tester. I received potting soil to test when I was a member, that held the water. This meant that I had to water less. Love that! You do usually get to keep the products you test. I will admit, in the year I was a member, I only got to test one product. But, it was still fun!

This company has been around since 1924! Wow! They had Mystery Shopping in the 20's? Who knew? I would love to learn the history of this company, as I am sure it is interesting.

Either way, the shops I have been offered have been well worth the money. For example, I have even seen shops where you just need to drive by and take pictures of the signs displayed at a location. And, the pay was very good! Now that can even be done with my kids asleep for a nap in the car! :-)

I'll Be Back! Happy Memorial Day!

I am so sorry for my lack of posts and the upcoming lack of posts over the Memorial Day Weekend.

This is the longest I have ever gone without blogging ( with the exception of the wind storm last fall and we were without power ) since I started my site.

But, it is a joyous time for our family! My brother-in-law and his family have come in from Hawaii. We have not seen them in over four years, and they had yet to meet our youngest son even!!

When they left, my soon to be 5 year old dauther was just a baby!!

We are also getting to spend some time with our soon to be "new" niece. They are in the process of adopting their foster daughter, who is the same age as my daughter.

In addition, my husbands other brother has come in from Chicago with his family so we can all be together with all the siblings and their families!

So, I am taking this time to spend it with family, and am so very excited.

I figured, if it is only once every 4 years I am going to get to see them, I better make the most of it!!

I will be back to my regular schedule of posting Monday night!!

Free Quicken 2009 Premier Software

Yay! I felt like the free trial offers had dried up a bit lately, but was so ecstatic to find this deal today and take part.

Sign up for a 30 day free trial to Quicken Bill Pay and they will send you a link for free downloadable 2009 Quicken Premier.

First of all, I have had the free Quicken software version I was using just to manage my many Bank Offers.

But, I have always been too tight to actually buy the downloadable versions/software of Quicken. I figure, hey, I will just track everything in a spreadsheet for free.

So, when I found out I could get a free 2009 version of downloadable Quicken Premier today...I think I may have skipped across the room a bit. I definitely had a smile on my face! I am hoping that this will save me time and effort in managing my families finances.

Plus, this version is listed at $89.99! Now I am even more excited to get it free.

Want the details? There are a few steps to get to the right page. Not sure why, but it took me forever to figure out how I originally got there to get this post together. When I type the original link in, it keeps going to home page...so you need to get there via this round about way..I think?

• Go to Quicken here
• Once on their page, go to the search button in the upper right
• Enter Bill Pay Premier
• Once the results come back, click on the first link titled: Quicken Product and Quicken Services
• Finally, once you get to this page, click on the link for Service & Add ons under Find your Quicken
• The middle choice is your Free Quicken sign up link. Finally!

Now, just sign up for your 30 day free trial. You will need to actually set up your Bill Pay account and activate it for them to send you your Premier version. And, this means you need to enter a checking account/social security #( just like if you were setting Paypal up ) for them to successfully pay bills, etc.

In addition, it has been noted that the email with the download is not coming right away. Two small deposits will be sent to your bank account first, as usual with financial software, to get your bill pay trial completed. I am assuming my free download will come after that ( or I will be pretty sad )

Mystery Shopping - Service Check

This week, I am going to introduce you to Service Check. Now, I have not done any shops for them yet, but I have been getting invites into my mailbox.

For my area of the US, they have had shops available for stores at the mall, food court locations, etc. So, if you are heading to the mall anyway, why not make a bit of money while you are there.

They don't have many shops in Ohio, but you never know what they have near you. And, I am keeping them in my mystery shopping radar in case anything opens up in the future.
