wow, wow, WOW! You are certainly on your way to $40K for the year...maybe you should double that figure with those numbers! You certainly are making me seriously think about blogging!
I think it was a one time event. Or, maybe it was because it was the Holiday season ( that is my payout from Dec ).
But...you should TOTALLY blog. It is fun, and you meet so many great people. Plus, you can financially help your family.
If you need any help, etc, just email me.
Hi!
I'm not familiar with Linkshare and Commission Junction. Is that real money that is going to come to you as a check/cash/etc? Or is that "money" that translates to points or something that your actual reward is less than that? Does that question make sense? Thanks for posting. I'm learning to be more frugal and started couponing in November. I'm starting to see the payoffs of my efforts this month. My husband and I have financial BHAG's we're trying to accomplish this year, and I am incredibly grateful for all the advice the blogging world is giving us. The short daily doses make learning easier.
Sara,
That is actual money I got in the form of a check and deposited into my checking account.
If you click on the Affiliate link in my left menu bar, it will explain how affiliate programs work.
Quick rundown. Affiliates are revenue you earn from blogging and thru links you place on your blog.
Hope that helps.
Amazing Carrie. You managed to make 1/2 of your total last year in the first month. Way to go! =)
I'm in shock over the affiliate income! Way to go!!!!! :)
That's phenomenal, Carrie! Way to go!
Carrie,
I am just as in awe as everyone else. Congratulations! Your success is such an inspiration to so many of us. I think you have convinced me that I am going to start blogging too. Way to go!!!
Carrie, That is great. What kind of links are we clicking. I have never understood the affiliates,
Evelyn,
It could be almost anything. From the advertisements you see in the sidebars, to specific Online Offer companies ( they usually pay about 60 cents per person who signs up ).
Alot of companies out there offer affiliate programs. From Toys r Us, to Freebies. Alot of the free samples, etc you see will pay sites to post them out there.
It is a combo of many, many companies.
Off the top of your head, what were/are your top 3 "programs" or your 3 favorites?
OMG!!! You rock Carrie. That may be a one time thing at that high number, but you've been trending upwards and have had some very high numbers in the recent past too. You deserve a good vacation this year!
Angie,
I would probably say Blogging, Online Offers and Grocery Shopping/Sale Shopping.
Just because those are my top 3 earners/savers for the year.
Fantastic job, Carrie!!! I'm in awe over the affiliate earnings. Way to go!
Congratulations!!! That is awesome!!! Good things happen to people who bring good bargains to others!!
Annabell - who just started blogging and who would benefit chatting with you!!
I am continually amazed at you! You inspire me! Congratulations!
Wow, this is truly amazing!!! I think I need to research the affiliates thing more.
