Although we were in the middle of a snow and ice storm last night, I bundled the 3 kids up, hopped in the minivan and headed to CVS. Am I crazy? Well, maybe a little...but in all honesty, I wouldn't have headed out if my eldest didn't have a terribly painful ear infection. We had just been to the doctor and we had to get his perscription filled.
Since I was already there, I decided to do my shopping for the week.
Here is my breakdown...
1st Transaction Rang Up:
$8.62 Perscription
Received:
$25 Gift Card for my perscription
Total Out of Pocket:
$8.62
2nd Transaction Rang Up:
$8.99 Huggies Jumbo Diapers
$4.99 Huggies Jumbo Wipes
$4.99 Huggies Jumbo Wipes
$5.29 Energizer C Batteries
$5.29 Energizer D Batteries
$2.50 Kotex Pads
$1.51 Tax
$33.56 Total
Coupons Used:
$4 Off $20 from welcome email
$2.00 Off Huggies
$.75 Off Huggies Wipes
$.75 Off Huggies Wipes
$1.00 Off Energizer Batteries
$1.00 Off Energizer Batteries
$1.00 Off Kotex Pads
$10.50 Coupon Total
Used $11 in Extra Care Bucks from last week's trip to the store
Used $12.06 off the $25 Gift Card I just got.
Grand Finale:
I spent $8.62 for the perscription and walked out with all that merchandise PLUS $12.94 remaining on my Gift Card AND $15 in Extra Care Bucks for next week.
Plus, I got another 6% off of the $8.62 thanks to my Citi Drivers Edge Card.
So, I made $19.73 on that trip to CVS!

Want the $2.00 Off Huggies coupon? Click here to read Mommy Snacks. She tells you where to go and gives you the answers to the questions, so your coupon will print at $2.00, too.
Need a $4 off $20 Coupon? Head on over to I heart CVS. She has them posted for the next few weeks. I am unsure if these are valid, but you can take them to CVS and ask them to check for you. I have asked a few other CVSers to see what they think, but I haven't heard back from them yet. So, I guess I will post the link until I hear otherwise.
