Finding Rewarding Rebates!

I am time concious, and do not like to waste a lot of time on things. If it is easy money, I am all on board. So, if I happened upon a rebate during normal shopping, I, of course, would use it. But, I didn't look up deals, try to find rebates and go through a bunch of hoops to find them.

But, recently, I fell in love with another great site. It is called Hooray for Free-bates! I have scheduled it into my weekly routine and do a quick search every Monday to catch up on the rebates available. If it is not something I am going to buy right away, I log it on a spreadsheet quickly. Then, before I go shopping, I pull my log up and quickly search to see if anything I am getting is on there.

On top of that, most of her rebates become FREE after you submit the rebate!! If this is the case, and it is something I can use, I will go ahead and get it ( unless I think a coupon might be coming soon and I can actually make money on the purchase )

Here is a great example. This week the Grocery Game had me buy Live Active Cheese. It was on sale, plus $1.00 off coupon. So, it brought it down to a rock bottom price for that product. But, I remember I had logged into the Hooray for Free-bates site and it had a form for a rebate up to $9.00 if you bought 2 Live Active Cheeese products. So, I went to the site, printed the form and mailed it in when I got home from the grocery. Because I used 2 $1.00 off coupons, I actually made $2.00 on this purchase. Kraft is sending me a check for the amount I paid for the cheese, before coupons. ( I guess, it is more like $1.50 after you take postage and envelope off ). :-) So, great deal!

Her site is full of great deals like this! And, it takes the pressure off of more trying to find your own rebates! Of course, if you find a great one, feel free to email her...she may post it on her site!

Hi Carrie,
Just found your blog thru MoneySavingMom and I'm so excited with all the money you're making on-line. I'm going to try it myself and see if I could make even just 1/4 of what you made. Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge.

In case you haven't checked it out yet, I wanted to share the hotcouponworld's url for rebates. I found a rebate (Caregivers Marketplace) that gives you a $1 rebate on each package of Huggies you purchase - with the Huggies ECB deal next week, that will help reduce our OOP even more! I have found several rebates on there that I have submitted and received back (including the Kraft one - I haven't received it back yet though)

here's the url:
