Free Entertainment Book Purchase!

Thanks so much for all that sent this offer in...but a big thanks to Claire at Choyster Cash for alerting me to this deal first!!

  • First, if you are new to Cashbaq, sign up here. You will get a $5 Bonus!
  • Buy Entertainment Books thru Cashbaq. These are GREAT gifts!
  • Automatic $10 discount and Free Shipping from Entertainment Book
  • Receive $10 Cash Back from Cashbaq for each book

How did this work out for me?

  • Bought Book - $15 on Sale
  • Cashbaq Sign on Bonus - ( $5 ) Credit
  • Cashbaq Entertainment Book Cash Back - ( $10 ) Credit

Final price? Free to me!

Here are some additional notes for others.

If you order more than one book, SOME areas give extra discounts ( making this a possible money maker for you ). Mine did not...so I only ordered one.

In addition, if you sign up for auto renew, you get another $5 off. That gives you a $5 profit on your book. It does say when you cancel the auto renewal later, they will recharge you that $5. But, there have been reports that when others have cancelled, they never got charged the $5.

Even if you did, you are only getting charged back the money you originally saved...so it is worth a shot to try the auto renewal and get that credit. Just make sure to mark your calendars to remind you to cancel it. They will bill you the full price for your 2010 book otherwise.

And, finally, for those not familiar with Cashbaq, it is a program similar to Ebates, Mr. Rebates and Big Crumbs, etc. And, you WILL have reached their payout threshold with this purchase, so you will receive your payment via Paypal or check.

Updates: you can get up to $6.50 back per book!!

- Some people have been reporting up to $6.50 back per book when buying multiple ones!

http://choystercash.blogspot.com/2008/12/update-up-to-650-profit-on-each-2009.html

- However, book prices vary for each region. For instance, Nicole at FrugalisFabulous said that her book was $45, so the deal varies slightly depending on your region....

Hi Carrie ~ I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now, and am enjoying all your tips and deals alot! Thanks!
I tried this deal today and am confused. Did you automatically see evidence of your savings in your Cashbaq account for the purchase of your book? I am not seeing it in mine and am wondering if I did something wrong.
I am wondering if I should cancel and start over......your thoughts would be most welcome. Thanks again! Lydia

I actually figured out this deal. Some people have found it to be confusing. You can see questions and answers on my site

Someone from Cashbaq posted at SwapSavers to say that it takes a few days for the rebate to post!

Claire,

I know, I was bummed my area didn't get any discount.

My book came up to $15, and no matter how many I added, it was always $15 per book ( after the $10 off from Entertainment Book..normally $25 ).

So, I just stuck with one. :-)

I would have started losing money if I bought more than one. Bummer!

The rest of your are pretty lucky.

Lydia Joy,

Cashbaq works just like Ebates or Mr. Rebates, etc.

The $5 sign on bonus should be showing in your Cashbaq account immediately.

BUT...the $10 for buying the Entertainment Book could take up to 30 days. If after 30 days you don't see the $10, then you just email them to get manual credit.

You can check to make sure it tracked your purchase, though. Go under My Account and then Click History. Your Entertainment Book click should be showing there, which means they are tracking it.

Once your $10 shows up, they then pay every month on the 20th. Make sure you have entered your paypal address OR whether you would have a check. You can also do this in the My Account area.

Is Cashbaq free? Do I need to cancel my account with them after this? Thanks!

Cashbaq is free. It is just like Ebates, etc. You set up an account, and ANYTIME you shop online, check with Cashbaq ( and the others sites such as Ebates, Mr. Rebates, Upromise, Big Crumbs, etc ) to see who pays the most back.

Cashbaq does NOT sell your name, etc for SPAM, another great reason to sign up and start earning money from when you shop. These shopping sites are GREAT.

"Order Today and Get $10 Off The 2009 Entertainment Book! Plus, Free Shipping!
Retail Price: $25.00 (USD)
Your Price: $15.00 (USD)"

This is what I see on Cashbaq. I'm assuming the $10 off is the $15 price??? I'm not seeing anything that mentions receiving $10 back after ordering. Any thoughts?

When you log in, go to the $ Baq section in the lower right side.

The 2nd one down should be Entertainment with $10. This is your $10 from Cashbaq.

Click there.

The next page..the top says $10 EARN. This is the money from Cashbaq.

The first coupon below should be $10 OFF...that is the money off from Entertainment.

Once you click there it will take you to Entertainment and you ener your zip code. If your regular priced book is $25...with the $10 off from Entertainment's coupon and free shipping..you book is $15.

You PAY that now ( if you click to reorder next year...you get another $5 off...) making it $10.

Then, pay.

Cashbaq will then show a $5 balance in your account for signing up with them.

Within the next month, your additional $10 earnings will show up...making your balance $15. They will then mail you a $15 check OR send to paypal on the 20th of the following month.

Hope that all makes sense.

It does, Carrie...thank you for helping the 'slow' gal. :) I found it, and ordered!

You aren't slow.

All of these types of programs can be confusing at first until you get the hand of them.

But, you will love them once you use them a few times. :-)

Glad you figured it out. It is a heck of a deal.
