Buy 1 Get 1 Free - Columbia House

For all of us doing Online Offers together right now, and signed up for Columbia House as one of your offers.....they are running their best sale thru the end of day today.

Thru the end of day today, it is Buy 1 Get 1 Free.

As I have mentioned before, I sign up for Columbia House and THEN only buy my required DVDs when they run this sale.

Why? You get 2 DVDs for the price of one and it qualifies as one of your requirements. So, you will get double the DVDs.

Obviously, if there are any DVDs I need for presents, this is a great time to buy them.

But, I also look to see what is popular right now ( especially with Christmas coming up ) and will buy those DVDs. Then, starting in November....usually right after Thanksgiving...I will sell on eBay or Cragslist. Most times, I make more or at least cover the cost of what I spent...plus get credit for my Online Offer.

For example, WITH shipping, I paid approx $12 per DVD I bought. And, those were New Released or Yet to Be Released DVDs. So, a decent price with profit potential when I resell.

These Buy 1 Get 1 Free deals make Columbia House one of the best offers to do when completeing Online Offers. I especially like it for Nuitech sites, because it is an easy way to meet the 60 day requirement.

SOOO...if you are a current member of Columbia House, check your email account for your notice from Columbia House and this sale. If you didn't get the email, click here to access and see if this link will work for you.

Or, if you aren't one of my readers partaking in Online Offers, but you are interested in getting great deals on DVDs...click here to register with Columbia House. Then, begin watching for their Buy 1 Get 1 Free sales and enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up.

Once you purchase the required amount from CH, do you then cancel (if you are past your 60 days ie.) Or do you let the membership continue. Would that interfere if you tried to sign up again.

Hope my question makes sense.

The link BOGO link isn't working for me unless I'm doing something wrong. Guess I'll have to wait.

Steph,

When they do these Buy 1 Get 1 Free, it is only good one time ( at least as far as I know...someone knows different, please tell ).

Meaning, I only bought 2 DVDs today, and got 1 credit towards my requirement ( you only get credit for the one that wasn't free ).

So, I wait for this deal 4 times ( that was how many I need to meet my requirements ).

Usually, that takes me past the 60 day mark..since they deals don't come out that often.

But, once it comes out, I then cancel.

Then, I resign up when I do another offer ( as long as the email address is different, they will usually let you sign up again...or at least they always have in the past ).

So, technically I have been a member of Columbia House for about 3 years now, just keep changing memberships.

Also, if you click on the link does it show the Buy 1 Get 1 Free?

Then, when you log in it is gone?

That is what it did for me, too.

It wasn't until I placed my items in the cart did the 2nd item show up free.

BUT...be careful. The first item can be a Directors Selection, Upcoming Release, etc...but the 2nd one cannot.

So, if you put Kung Fu Panda in there twice, it would not come up free...since that is an upcoming release.

Hope that makes sense.

Check your email, too, for an email from them. I got my email yesterday.

Steph,

If you log back in thru the link again, you can then place a 2nd order with buy 1 get 1 free, too.

The only advantage to this, since if you add movies to your order after the buy 1 get 1 free they are 50% off, is that you can order more Upcoming Releases.

The Upcoming Releases, like Batman, don't qualify for the 50% off as an add on, but they do qualify for your purchase then you get the 2nd movie free ( thus making it about 50% off ).

I have a feeling Batman will be a good sale on eBay. It doesn't get released until 12/9, so we will get them just in time for the Holiday rush.

Hi Carrie,

I guess this is only good if you got the email and I am wondering why I didn't? When I go in and put 2 movies in my cart, the second one is only 1/2 off, not free. It's not a "special"-type movie, either. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Jenny

YOu may be right, since Steph had the same problem.

I got another email from them today advertising the 48 hour sale

I would have to think, if they are running this sale now...that they are going to begin running them to others soon, too...especially with the holidays coming up.

So, be on the look out in your email account for any emails from Columbia House.

I guess if they offer it to everyone at the same time they would be overwhelmed but I'm sure they will give us all the opportunity eventually

It would not even let me log in but i could try again.

In another comment you said cancel after the required purchases then sign up again with a different email address.

So my new question is-with nuitech, netblue etc. I always have to use the email i initially set up with them but for the offers I can use a different address/or have to use a different address?

Steph,

I-Deal requires you have the same email address across each of their sub sites ( for example...all Top Notch sites ) need one email.

But, with Netblue and Nuitech...I have never done this. I have always set an email up with each site I did for them. ( BUT...this is not to say their terms haven't changed recently ).

You may be right, and we have to maintain one email for all their sites now. I am not sure. I just logged in to look around, but I couldn't find anything specific.

So, because I set up new email addresses for each site I did...I used that same email with these companies, etc.
