Free Food and Free Make Up...what more could a girl want?

OK...I usually just reference you to others and don't list deals...under the assumption you are checking the regular sites, too. If not, you should be! Each Monday, I pull my grocery game list, pull deal ideas from Money Saving Mom and check Mommy Snacks for goodies at the stores.

So, here is what I am so excited about and want to MAKE sure you take advantage of these specials, too!

The free Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters Cereal will be free at Meijer this week!! I got 5 boxes worth last week at Kroger, and now the deal has moved stores. So, click here to go to Mommy Snacks. She will direct you on where to print your $2.00 off a box coupons.

And....my favorite, free make up at Walgreens again. Jane Make Up is once again running the Buy One Get One Free sale on their make up. If you click here for my original post, you will see a link to the Jane coupon and can read my original article on how to get your make up for free. ( and...if for some reason, your Walgreens does not let you use 2 coupons on a BOGO deal...don't be afraid to say no thanks ).

FINALLY....I am so excited because I can get 11...yes 11...cans of Van Camp's Beans for FREE...and actually make a little money. Thank you to Money Saving Mom for posting this deal. Click here to read how to get this deal.

Now, their beans are not my all time favorite ( although I do like them )...but I love stocking up on them, because I have the best bean recipe that I always use them for. And, with Spring upon the horizon, it will be time to start getting together with friends and family for barbeques/cook outs and dinner parties. And, this is a GREAT side dish to bring to a friends home. I always get rave reviews.

So, in honor of all the free beans you are going to go buy...right?....here is the recipe:

1 lg. can pork and beans ( since Van Camp's cans are not large..I use a couple )
6 T. brown sugar ( probably why it is so yummy )
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 1/2 T. pickle relish
4 oz. Cheddar cheese, cubed ( if possible..I have used shredded before, too )
Optional:
Tomato Slices
Onion Slices
Oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine ingredients in a 1 1/2 quart greased casserole. Top with thin slices of tomato and onion brushed w/ oil if desired. Bake for 40-45 minutes until bubbling.

The bean deal wouldn't have worked for me. I would have had to buy more than 20 cans! They had them on sale 2/$1. I wouldn't have mind 11 cans but not 20!

Ooohhh...too bad you didn't live near me...I would have taken the other 9 off of you! :-)

Don't forget..if you absolutely don't want an additional 9 cans...there are always shelters, schools and can drives collecting food. It might make a very nice donation! I have been taking my extras and starting sending a quick email out to friends/family to see what they need and then taking the rest to charities.

We have a great program by us, called Reach Out Lakota, that I often donate my food to... it is right across my daughters preschool...so very easy for me.

Do you cook the beans? Served cold?
