Earn $ Thanks to the 2010 Census

I have been counted!

And, so has every member of my family. If you haven't guessed, my 2010 Census arrived in the mail today. It was quick to fill out. For some reason, I expected a bit more questions ( I guess I am too used to taking surveys )

It is already in the envelope and ready to go out in the mail tomorrow.

Keep your eyes open and check your mail. Your census should be arriving soon. And, remember the sooner you get it back in the less money our government will have to spend trying to get you to turn it in to them.

In fact, this recent video on CNN claims that we could save $1.5 Billion ( Billion? ) if every person mailed back their census right away instead of having to pay people to follow up. Wow!

You know how financially frugal I am. I definitely do not want to add to my nations financial woes, so I am doing my little part by mailing it right away.

You can go here to watch the video.

Want to learn more about the Census and keep up to date on it? You can find the blog here.

Now, on to the portion about how you can earn. I guess if people aren't going to send it back and are going to cost our nation more money, some of us should get paid to work.

2010 US Census Jobs

The 2010 US Census is requiring many workers around the United States. From part time workers, to retirees to full time employees, there is the need.

If you are looking at a way to make a little extra money, this may be a fit for you. You can go here to read how to apply and find out if there are jobs in your local area. They do state most hiring will be done in the Spring of 2010. And, Spring is only about a week away. Yay!

I got my census form today. It indicated that it is to be filled out on April 1, 2010. It said "as of April 1, 2010, how many...." I think I won't mail mine till April 1. Now, I don't know if the dates are different in other areas, but make sure you check your form.

Grammy Suzzy,

Yes, mine says that, too.

But, you still can mail it before then.

This is the date they WANT correct info by.

So, for example, for my age...I had to report I was older than I am today because my birthday is between now and April 1st.

If you read the letter that came with the Census, you will notice it asks you mail it today ( they bold it ).

Just make sure you update info to be accurate as of April 1st

The jobs have probably been filled. My worksite was a testing center for potential census job applicants and then they held an 8-hour training for hired workers just this last Monday. But it doesn't hurt to try.

I agree that the census form should be mailed as soon as it is completed.
