Hurry! $10 off $10 Buy.com - Almost Free Products

Update: Just found out this expires TODAY...the 11th! So, don't miss it!

Thanks to this great $10 off $10 code, I was able to get (2) Thomas the Train DVDs, each at less than $1! My 2 year old absolutely loves Thomas and as of yet has none of his movies. So, these will be great stocking stuffers. I can't wait to see his little face.

If you do decide to go the DVD route...there are tons of DVDs you can get for almost free and many of them have free shipping. Both of my Thomas the Train DVDs were free shipping. To see if your item is free shipping, look for the YELLOW moving truck under the item and the words free shipping. That means it ships free regardless of price.

If it has an orange moving truck below and free shipping, that means you need to spend a certain dollar amount ( $25 for DVDs ) to get free shipping. So, I looked for DVDs with the yellow truck.

So, here is what you need to do to get your $10 off $10 to Buy.com.

  • Click here to go to eBillMe, then click the Home tab
  • Once on this page, click on Shop Now at Buy.com in the window showing all the stores
  • Shop their sales, DVD sections, or wherever. They do have a Holidays section
  • Once you find your items, load them to your cart.
  • Check out by setting up an account
  • Choose pay with eBillMe
  • Place your Order ( do NOT enter your code on this page )
  • It will take you to the eBillMe payment page.
  • Enter code buy10dec
  • Then, follow the directions to pay via your bank account online bill pay.
What deal did you find with this $10? Please share in the comment section so others can find great items, too.

Enjoy!

Carrie,
I have an item in my cart ready to buy but I stopped at a screen that wants me to enter my b-day and last 4 of my SS. It says that BillMeLater is subject to credit approval. Is this going to pull a credit report??

Also I haven't yet seen where to put the code for $10 off. Did I miss it somewhere?

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Becky,

You don't want BillMeLater...that is a different program.

You want eBillMe.

Anonymous said...

eBillMe wasn't an option for me at check out? I went thru that site to get to the buy.com website???

denise said...

Me either. I dont' see it anywhere?

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

I just went thru the whole process again to check it, and it was there.

Go to check out as a guest. Enter your address, etc.

The very next page gives you your payment options.

Across the top there are images. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Revolution, Paypal, eBill Me, Bill me Later

So, it is 2nd from the last. Are none of yours showing it?

Or, if you scroll down, the first is Pay with Visa, the next down is Bill Me Later, next is Paypal, after that is eBillme and then last is Wire Transfer.

What does your page look like?

denise said...

nope, no ebillme or wire transfer options. How frustrating. Well at least you got a deal. Thanks for trying to share this. Not sure why this is different on my end. Thanks Carrie.

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Denise,

You are making sure to check the button to check out as a guest, right?

If you just go to the check out page without that, it is not on that page and you wouldn't see it there.

denise said...

Sadly, yes I am checking out as a guest. ;o(

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

I wonder if it is the product you are buying. What did you order? I can try loading it to my cart to see. Send me the product description.

Is it sold from Buy.com or another vendor?

denise said...

I got it Carrie. Yeah. I didn't go far enough in the process. Thanks again! I got Mama Mia soundtrack for $5 shipped. Thanks

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Denise,

Thanks goodness.

It was driving me crazy over here trying to figure out what the problem was. LOL.

Whew!!!

Glad you finally found it.

Ah... I wasn't finding ebillme as a payment option checking out as a guest. So I created an account to find it. They have TONES of DVDs. I just looked in the documentaries - and there were 248 pages of those! Quite a few of them have free shipping too!

I picked two DVD that had free shipping. I think it is the yellow and green truck that shows the items that have free shipping regardless of the price of the items bought.

Is this a one time use code?

Janet

Oops! That was TONS of DVDs - Not Tones of them - lol

Another question. Do you have to click in through ebill me for this to work? Or can you use the code as long as you check out through ebillme?

a busy mom getting through life said...

Carrie, at check out - it shows free shipping - 4-14 days- do you think that it would be here by or before the 24th ?

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

I chose free shipping for mine, crossing my fingers it comes in time. I just can't bring myself to pay for shipping.

But, in all honesty, I really don't know. There really is no guarantee.

If it is the exact same thing you could find at a store near you, you could buy it and wrap that one if yours doesn't come and then return the one from Buy.com to the store ( as long as it is the exact same sku )

That is about the only thing I could think to do.

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Can you click directly to buy.com, do you mean? You could try it and see.

Here are my thoughts...but I am NOT sure if my thought pattern is correct or not. I was just trying to figure out the way it worked last night, too.

So, I couldn't figure out when I did it if once you hit the place your order button if it was considered a final order and you were just paying on eBillMe's page ( since the promo code technically isn't a Buy.com code )or if it wasn't completed yet. I tended to learn towards it was a final order...but not sure.

I think what happens is eBillMe is still paying Buy.com the full amount, they are just paying $10 of it and you are paying the difference. At least, that is what it looks like to me.

My thoughts are that when you go thru eBillMe, they are getting a portion of the commission ( kind of like an Ebates, Shop at Home etc does) Because, after I purchased, it said I earned a little money back, too. I have a feeling if you went thru another site, then that site would get the commission instead. So, would eBillMe still give the $10 then?

So, I didn't try it because I was afraid it would mess it up. I didn't want to not get my $10 and the order was final.

If you decide to try it directly, please let us all know. I would be curious to see if they give the $10 if not ordered thru their own site.

Carrie I just checked out and I want to thank you for posting and walking everyone through it.

This is what I got for our cousin( hope it gets here in time) the payment will leave the bank monday the 14th!
This was $19.99 + free shipping + the $10 off so the OOP is $9.99 !

LEGO Star Wars - Assassin Droids Battle Pack 8015
-- It is for a 11 yr. old boy. I hope he likes it-

I got it! I ordered Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games for Wii. My hubby was disappointed when it wasn't one on top of the kids wish list. I wasn't going to pay $49.99 for it at a store. Buy.com has it for $47.99. That minus the $10 and free shipping means that now the kids and my hubby will all get their video game wishes for Christmas!

Katherine said...

I saw this last night on FatWallet and jumped on it. I got a Burt's Bees facial kit for .09 shipped! I'm rounding out my mom's Christmas; she's going to love it!

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Katherine...that is AWESOME! 9 cents...why do they even bother? LOL.

Thank you! I got 2 Snap-N-Store™ Magazine Files(IDESNS01565) for $1.98 shipped. This makes the second set of two I've gotten for 99 cents each. The last Buy.com deal I did this through was one of your deals, too! Your'e awesome, Carrie.

Kristin said...

Thanks for the deal info carrie. I can't use it because I don't have a checking account, too bad ebillme and paypal don't work together. Oh well. I have passed it along to friends.

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Kristin,

Bummer!

Just a consideration...if you have family with checking accounts ( your mom/dad, in-laws ) you might want to pick out what you want and have them order.

Then, you can just mail them the money or paypal it to them.

I am not sure if they can have it shipped to you, though. They could try. They might have to ship it to their house and you would need to pick it up ( if you are going to see them over the Holidays ).

Cristy said...

oh wow...my balance is .39 and when I try to pay with Bank of America it does not let me. I must send a payment of at least $1. ??? Strange...

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

BofA must have some quirky system. LOL.

I would just transfer the $1.00. I can't imagine they won't take the extra change. Still a good deal.

For $1.98 I got Nintendo DS Game Folio Case (to go along with the $60 Nintendo DS I got my family for Christmas) and Nintendo Wii Remote Protection Glove (Set of 3). It's nice to have the gloves on there to protect those controllers - and I'm sure my kids will think they're very cool. :)

Thanks for the details on this one!

I got Monopoly for $3.90
I went to Buy.com trough ShopAtHome just to see if it would work. It did and I'll get (1%) cash back.

I was able to click on the Ebillme button at checkout.

$12.99 - $10 (ebillme credit)

Total w/ tax $3.90

Not bad. my son has been asking for this classic all year. Thanks Carrie.

ebillme is not an option WHAT IM DOING WORNG? CAN'T GET THE CODE WORK

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

You need to go farther into the process.

Follow my instructions step by step.

You need to log in and set up an account. Then, once you go thru hat section, eBillMe will show up.

Do NOT enter the coupon code on the Buy.com check out page. You can only enter it on the eBillMe page after you process the order w/eBillMe as an option.

Let me know if you are still having issues.

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Braden,

You enter the code on the eBillMe page...it is AFTER you process the order w/eBillMe as the payment method.

Let me know when you get it to go thru!

Well, I got (1)Adidas Ice Dive By Adidas and (1) Liz Sport Perfume 0.18 oz Parfum Mini for $0.48, but I had to pay using Capitol One and they would only accept $1.00 as the lowest payment, so I sent that.

Thanks!!!

This was site was tricky to find products but so glad I spent the time in there. I got my 8 year old daughter a case for her DS (which was on her list) and the DVD of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (which they read in school and she saw the play in the childerns theater). Both for 2.61! Awesome deal, she is going to be such a happy girl xmas morning. Thank you for the post!

Jenny said...

I tried to scroll through as many comments as possible but didn't see this. I'm going through this process now but on the home page of ebillme, it says save $5 at Buy.com. Does that mean the deal has changed??

Mindolla said...

I got a Classic Controller as a gift.. not for pennies.. I paid $9.99 but for a $20 item that I had to buy as a gift regardless I am thrilled.

Carrie, I think I missed up some - I went in on the back billing info. copied and pasted the info. to send payment to- it goes out monday ,but I got a email sat. saying they have already received payment and the item was shipped sat.
did I miss it? Thanks

Carolyn said...

I placed my order on Friday night and still haven't gotten an eBill yet. Did I do something wrong? Please, someone who has placed an order using eBillMe, comment and let me know how this works (this was my first). Thanks!

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Carolyn,

eBillme didn't necessarily send me a bill. As soon as I processed that as my payment with the coupons code, ti had a pop up window with the address and account number where I needed to send my payment from my checking account. I then, immediately, logged into my checking account and sent my payment over.

So, it all happened in one setting.

Did you do all that?

Emily said...

I just got an email today (12/16) saying they cancelled my order with no explanation! I paid for it immediately with the eBillme so I have no idea what the problem is. (And it came out of my account so I know I did it right.) Now I am out the item and also the $10 credit. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm so disappointed!

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Knock on wood, but I haven't gotten a cancellation email yet.

Did you call them? I will be curious to see why they canceled it and if it is down the road for the rest of us, too.

Let us know!
