I love discounted gift cards. They think you spent more! :)
Also, in the past, if I got a larger gift card ( free from doing surveys, etc ) and I only want to give the teacher $10...I go to Barnes and Noble and buy the smaller gift cards and pay for them with the larger.
Not sure if they still allow it, but last year during the Holidays I did it with no issues.
