Do you have to report giftcard offers as taxable income?

Do you think there is a reasonable chance that the $600 towards cell phone bills will be a check? I would do this, but I don't use ATT or Sprint, and don't want $600 I can't use, kwim? Thanks.

Hi Carrie - that $600 offer sounds incredible! We'd love to try it, but I want to make sure we're eligible. I know these questions have been asked before, but just to confirm: We have only done one online offer - the Top Notch $500 visa card featuring the Ford/Chevy/Chrysler trucks - and we began it in March and got our card in April 2009. Can we go ahead with this $600 offer, even though that will put us over $1000 in earnings from I-Deal? Also, since this $600 is from a different sub-company than Top Notch, we ARE allowed to duplicate offers between this and our previous online offer, right? We just can't duplicate offers within this one $600 offer, is that correct?

I hope I have all that right - if so, I'm going to jump into this one right away! Thanks for bringing us all this great info!

I've been having trouble with the internet offers. My mother-in-law attempted to do one, and practically NOTHING is approving. So far there are 5 different offers she did that DID NOT approve, and only two that did. I don't know what's up. I've done these before with no trouble. We haven't been getting responses to our emails either.

Felicia,

Yes, you will get a 1099 at the end of the year. The law of the land. :-)

If it doesn't ask you to choose a specific gift card when signing up, it usually comes as a VISA gift card or a check. That is what I am assuming I am getting.

Megs,

If this was a Top Notch deal, you wouldn't be able to do it. BUT, since it is with another sub company, you are fine.

I would not duplicate exact offers, and can't promise that if you duplicate from the same parent company you won't get DQd, BUT others have been reporting no problems as of yet.

I plan to do it. :-)

Danielle,

What company are you doing? Did you wait the full 10/11 days to see what credited?

A couple things can cause problems ( I dont' hear of it often ) is the way your cookies are set up. Check your mother in law's computer to see if she is allowing all cookies. Read their terms for specifics.

This can and will block credit from going thru at times.

Also, make sure she is using her own computer, as it can cause problems if she is signing up for herself but using your PC. Just like per household, it is also per computer.

Yep, I used her computer to do everything. It's the 80's one that I helped her with.

At the same exact time I was helping her, I had the same problem with finishing up an offer I had been working on. Four different ones didn't approve, then it went past my 60 days. This was for the Wii and Wii Fit. Total bummer. And I was on my computer at home for that one.

My mother in law freaked out and stopped doing the offer. It's a total bummer to have done seven out of the eight required offers, have only two of them approve, and then stop doing it altogether. I'm nervous about doing another one now.

You checked her cookies, right?

If 4 didn't approve...that is completely normal

It is always between 2 and 4, usually, for me, that don't approve the first time. I am pretty sure I have that written in the instructions somewhere..to expect 2 to 4. I'll have to go double check.

You did the replacements and they didn't come thru?

The replacements NEED to be done around day 12 if the 4 didn't approve...otherwise you will run over your 60 days.

And, on the other one...always make sure you do them all in one setting. You mentioned only 7 of the 8 were done. You want to make sure everything is done right around the same time, so they will pick up for approval in the same batch cycle.

Hope that helps.

Danielle,

I just checked..I mention the 2 to 4 in the comments section in answer to some questions on the IDeal instructions page.

Carrie,
I put in my email for this offer today, and I was going to get started right away. Then I noticed that many of the sites I wanted to sign up for were "powered by MarketLabs. . ." does this mean they are all the same sponsor?

Carrie,
The link for the $600 offer isn't working for me.
Is it still active?
Thanks,
Laura

Hi Carrie,
Do My Survey Incentives and Public Survey Panel have the same parent company?

Carrie @ Moneysavingmethods.com said...

Laura,

I am not positive. But if in doubt, I wouldn't duplicate them.

Ellyana,

If you are looking at survey sites, are you on the Gold, Silver and Platinum pages? I didn't think they were listed there.

Those ads at the very beginning don't count towards your gifts.

Let me know..maybe they added the survey sites to the offer pages.

Hi Carrie,
I was referring to your online page: http://moneysavingmethods.blogspot.com/search/label/Online%20Offers

there is $100 from eSolution Media and $100 Visa from Market Labs. Can I do them at the same time providing i did not select the same offer?

Thanks for time Carrie.
Ellyana
