Karen and David at Cashbaq have worked diligently to try and get the bonuses back for us from WT Direct. I appreciate their time and effort! They told me they spent days on this issue alone!
As per their terms, 10. The determination of whether or not a purchase made through a Cashbaq Affiliated Merchant is a Qualified Transaction is at the sole discretion of Cashbaq. Since Cashbaq is sharing a percentage of payments it receives from Affiliated Merchants, any transaction that Cashbaq does not receive credit or payment for will not be paid to you (although Cashbaq may have credited your account).
And, this is the issue they are having.
Originally, they said they would reevaluate the accounts, I am assuming, to see who plan to remain members.
I have gotten many emails from my readers wanting to know what to do? And, it is entirely up to you.
But, here are the steps I recommend anyone should take when they have issues with ANY company.
First and foremost, contact the company directly to see how the issue can be fixed. Hopefully, that solves the problem from the get go. You do want to give them the chance to realize their is an issue and fix it for you. So, if you haven't already, you want to work directly with Cashbaq.
Because of all of your emails, I have been in contact with Cashbaq to try and see what we can do, and they have been trying hard to get it fixed!
If that doesn't resolve the issue, the step to take when any company does not come thru on their end is to contact the Better Business Bureau. This is a wonderful agency that is a go between when companies and consumers cannot come to an agreement. It is non biased and I can't speak highly enough of this organization.
Although the result might not always be in your favor, or a company may not respond, it is important to still work with this agency. Future customers will read reviews and the grades that companies receive and I feel ( just like I did when I made a retailer move the products priced wrong ) that as consumers, we must help each other out.
If we have legitimate issues, it is important to share them, but also give a company the chance to fix the problem. And, that is why I like the BBB. If you file a complaint but a company does come thru and work with you, the BBB will grade them based on this. I look at this as a positive!! If I read reveiws on a company and they respond to complaints, I have high regard for them. That to me shows a lot about the company.
I realize issues arise and problems happen, but it really boils down to how these issues are fixed

Update as of Tuesday, March 3rd: I just spoke to Karen at Cashbaq and WT Direct is no longer offered on their site as of 10:00 AM PST today ( Tuesday, March 3rd ).
If you signed up BEFORE 10:00 AM PST today ( Tuesday, March 3rd ), you will still get your bonus. Yay for everyone who got in on this before it expired!

ok, let me get this straight...I can open an acct. with Cashbaq, get a $5 bonus for that, then open a WT Direct Svg acct through them and fund with say $5 and in 1 week(ish) they will give me a $30 bonus...that easy? Can I then close the account if I choose to?

It didn't ask me how I wanted the money transfer. Did I miss a step ?
How is easy is the quicken to use to keep up with all the savings you get?

If you aren't planning on keeping the account, I would still keep it open until you actually get your payment ( in check or via paypal ) from Cashbaq.
They don't pay until your cash goes from pending to approved...which takes about 90 days. Then, they will cut you a check/paypal.

I see it is showing O now , where the $30 sign up bonus was.
I can confirm this offer has ended. I had an email from Karen at Cashbaq about this deal. Taken straight from the email:
"Unfortunately, as of this morning, we are no longer offering cash back for WT Direct. They have decided to leave our program."
So looks like this offer is gone! It's unfortunate, because we were going to share it with readers on our blog as well!

WT Direct has flagged many Cashbq signups and reversed the credit because they believe the accounts were opened for the sole purpose of collecting a rebate. They will be monitoring these accounts over the next several months and will consider reinstating cash back credit if they find them to be legitimate.
Cashbaq values both its members and partner stores. Without a cohesive relationship with both, Cashbaq would not exist. If WT Direct finds your account meets their criteria, they will reissue your rebate.

I have been getting emails asking what the underlining issue was and why they won't pay.
So, I am going to try and explain and this is my view of it...at least what I think happened.
Whether this is exact or not, you may want to write Cashbaq directly to find out all the details. I could be totally wrong.
My understanding is that Cashbaq had the offer up for $30 back when you sign up for a WT Direct account.
They had no stipulation or terms stated on how long, how much to invest, etc, etc ( as we know most bank offers do ).
WT Direct was NOT giving any bonus for signing up, I don't believe. They do periodically have bonuses they offer from their sites, as I have posted about them, but this was not thru them.
The bonus was coming from Cashbaq not WT Direct, but Cashbaq DOES get paid when new accounts are opened.
I believe they were giving you a share of their earnings from your account opening, but check with Cashbaq.
WT Direct found out that accounts were being opened ( and potentially closed..so just for the bonuses and not really interested in their product ) and decided to not pay Cashbaq.
Hence, since Cashbaq was not getting paid, they received no money to pay us with for our sign ups.
So, kind of a chain reaction.

I got my $30.00 bonus. It was reversed and then the other day it came back up with a $30.00 credit to my account for WT Direct. Just wanted to let everyone know. Hope you all get yours too.

My $30 bonus has been showing pending since 3/02/2009! It says it's payable date is 5/31/2009. I actually keep getting statements from WT direct, but the amount has YET to be taken out of my account and transferred to my WT Direct account, thus, I can't use it! Was yours already transferred to WT Direct?

I just checked cashbaq this morning(it's been awhile) and my $30 from WT has been put back on. I should receive it by June. I have been depositing into my WT account on a weekly basis which may be why they did this. Thanks for all your great offers and tips. I have been saving like crazy. My goal is to do my first online offer this week.
