$100 TD Ameritrade Bank Bonus!

I am very thrilled, as there are MANY Bank Offers to share this week. I will have to pace myself. :-)

But, I was very excited and want to send a big thanks to Nichole for letting me know that Suze Orman and TD Ameritrade are once again teaming up to give us all a $100 Bonus this year for saving!

I especially like this offer for various reasons. First, it is $100 free. Who doesn't like that! Plus, this year they are also giving you access to a free electronic copy of Suze's book, Women & Money.

But, the other reason I like this program is that it is forcing people to learn how to save and set money aside. So, since it is the beginning of a new year and time to begin our savings for 2009...this is a great way to get started.

Want the details?

  • Account will pay .5% Interest
  • Open the Non Retirement Save Yourself account
  • New accounts only ( if you did this last year, you can not do it again )
  • Must make 12 consecutive deposits of $100

Click here for all the information and to sign up.

If you are long time reader, you know I made $848 in free money from opening bank accounts. And, I am still waiting for $250 to hit.

If you are new, click here or you can go at anytime to the Bank Offers button in my left menu bar to read all the details on how I manage these bank offers, how you can make money, too AND see what current offers I have posted on lately.

I am planning to participate in this offer. How do I find out if this is a soft or hard pull? Thanks so much!

Sara,

Call TD Ameritrade tomorrow. You may have to go to the normal TD Ameritrade site to find their number.

I would have a high time believing this is a hard pull with Suze involved...but still good to check.

I signed up last night and looked through all the terms and it seems that you can do this once per person... not per household. So if you are wanting to sock away $200/mo. instead of $100, then you can each make $100! Lovin' it!! :)

You are I are like two peas in a pod.

I was thinking the same thing. I am going for a 2nd account, too! Why not!

Carrie,

Do you know if you can have a deposit set up from a bank? We can't do another one from work.

It does not say direct deposit, so I was going to set ours up thru our bank, too.

As always, call to verify, but I am doing it that way. I don't want to waste my Direct Deposit spot on this all year.

Hey Carrie,

I was gonna do this until I saw the interest rate.

Here's another option for making $$ quickly, easily, and with NO WORK.

We opened a high-interest savings account with Amboy bank (http://www.amboydirect.com/premiumsavings/welcome.asp?t=13)

Of course, when we opened it, the rate was higher, but it's still close to 3%. Just last month, we earned about $50 in interest alone!

If you have a savings account, it's an easy way to earn good lump-sums of money every month! :D

Debbie,

You are actually going to make alot more on this Ameritrade offers.

You ONLY want to put the $1,000 in and for that, you get $100 plus the minimal .5%

If you put $1,000 in your account, you will only get $30.

The key is, you are ONLY opening this for the bonus. Once you receive your $100, you can take that money and put it in a high interest savings, since you won't be working towards that $100 anymore.

Hope that makes sense.

If you do this deal can you just make the 1,000 deposit and get your credit immediatley or do you have to wait 12 months and make 12 deposits?

Thanks
Lisa

You can call and check, but my understanding is you must make 12 deposits.

The point of the offer is that she is trying to teach people how to save each month.
