At Target, I did my weekly sale shopping. Read here to see my ritual explained. I walked out with GREAT deals! For my 3 year old daughter's birthday party this summer ( she will be 4 ), I found a set of 3 stuffable bears on sale for 75% off. So, I bought 3 packs ( with 3 bears each ).
Now, I will be throwing her a party for all her little girlfriends where they get to stuff bears. The bears will also serve as their "gifts" for coming to the party. On top of that, all their invitations were on sale 75% off last week, so I had already found cute invitations for her party for $1.50. And, if we make the cake ( my cakes cost me about 80 cents when I buy them off my Grocery Game sale list ) I will be able to throw her a party for about 9 girls for under $15!! Heck of a better deal then taking them all to Build a Bear! ( although, these bears are tiny ones....they are still adorable..they even come with little birth certificates ).
I also found a wonderful Little Tike Play Dough type set 75% off. We have a birthday party coming up this weekend, and this gift is a great find for them.

One note: Meijer only doubles coupon to $1.00 2 times! This is different than Kroger, and confused me a bit. Andrea at Mommy Snacks did tell me this, BUT I misunderstood and thought if the coupons had different bar codes on them, that didn't count as the same coupon. SO, you will see that one of my Cookie Mix Coupons didn't double and the same thing happened with my Pizza Rolls. So, I could have saved more if I had known this and bought something different. Oh, well...still a great price!
Also, there are printable coupons so you would get the Pizza Rolls free and the Butter free, too. But, I just used my hard copy coupons from the paper. I ran out of printer paper, so I had no way to print the online coupons. But, that could make the deal even better for others!

And, hey, Becky, if you are reading........it took me 2 hours and 20 minutes! I didn't make my 2 hour limit...( and I didn't make it to Kroger or Fitworks ). Oh, well, It tried!

2 Hours sounded a bit ambitious! I'm trying though to live by what you do and know that I can't do it all. I would have still gone to Kroger and Fitworks instead of cutting myself off with a time limit.
I spent about an hour in Meijers again yesterday and came home with 33 items .... most 10 for $10 .... and spent only $13!!!
Have a great week!
Becky
I actually probably would have continued on, except I had Noah with me. And, he was starting to cry and get fussy. Plus, it was almost time for him to eat. Otherwise, I probably would have hit Kroger and Fitworks. I plan to go out today and tackle those!
fantastic finds! You even got a toy! I am very impressed!
I think that's absolutely wonderful that you will be able to throw your daughter a great party for so little OOP expense. Good for you! :)
Great Job Carrie! Sorry about the confusion on the Meijer coupons!! They typically double each two for me as long as they have different codes (so two printables and two hard copies), etc - but that could be a cashier thing too - they are always pressing those buttons just to get me out of the store I think :-) I still owe you a coffee (for all the help on the online offer) so you'll have to add an extra shot (on me too) to cover this too!
