Save on Postage...May 12th Prices Increase Again!

I am sure many of you have heard that rates will go up on postage again, on May 12th. If not, here is a link to the USPS site explaining the rate increase.

The good news? They will have 5 BILLION, yes, BILLION Forever stamps available for purchase for consumers prior to the increase!

If you don't know what a Forever stamp is...go out and buy them. You can buy them today, at current postal prices of 41 cents a stamp, but they will be good...well...as the stamp says...FOREVER!

So, no matter when the United States Postal Service raises their rates, if you have these stamps on hand..you can still use them. I plan to stock up!

Bonus...if you did get the Citi Drivers Edge Credit Card I recommended, you know they will give you 6% back on all Grocery, Drugstore and Gas purchases. Well, since CVS and my Kroger both sell stamps...I ALWAYS buy my postage from them. It knocks another 2 cents off the price of that stamp! I have mentioned in previous articles, that I have not seen this card listed lately. But, the best I see for Grocery, Drugstores and Gas right now is the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card. It is giving 5% back on those three categories for the next 6 months. Mark the date on your card when the rebates expire, so you know when to stop using it and potentially close it. If you decide to keep it, it does still give you 2% back on those 3 categories, which is still better than some! Save, save, save!! That is my motto!
