Super Saturday Savings! Free Passes for Indoor Water Parks!

Well, I am extremely excited for this program. My family loves water parks. In fact, we spent yesterday at Kings Island's Boomerang Bay and had a blast!

My 4 year old daughter was old enough to ride one of the large water slides ( with a life jacket ) and she is a daredevil at times. She walks up ALL the stairs with us...we carried her big intertube...sat right down and went flying down. I was after her, and the whole way down, I kept wondering..."is she OK, is she at the bottom....I haven't run over her yet...she must still be on her tube..." Needless to say, my first time down I didn't really enjoy it because I was too busy worrying about her.

On our 2nd time down, she was down 2nd, then my 6 year old son, then me and my husband ( Grandpa had been first ). I got out of the water and couldn't find her. We immediately started running around frantic calling her name...until......

I looked towards the front of the ride where the line was and noticed the line of people were backed up. There....holding up the line....climbing the stairs by herself was my daughter, dragging a tube twice as big as her. Although I had to duck under ropes and people to get to her, and I was upset, I was also laughing inside. I will always remember how determined she looked to get back up to the top of that slide with her big tube!!!

ANYWAY...back to my post!

When winter arrives, we usually don't have much options in regards to water adventures...until recently. We got a new indoor water park last year, called Coco Key. Is there a location near you? Possibly.

They are currently located:

  • Waterbury, CT
  • Chicago, IL
  • Rockford, IL
  • Boston, MA
  • Fitchburg, MA
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Omaha, NE
  • Mount Laurel, NJ
  • Cincinnati, OH
  • Columbus,OH

These establishments run a Coco Rewards Kids Club. Click here for the full details. If you want to read all the details for your location, click on your city on the bottom of the page. Then, click on the Play button on the top and go to Fun Stuff. Once there, click on the Coco Reward Kids Club along the right hand side.

The first reward is for your kid's report cards. So, this will come into play once the school year starts back up. It says they will receive prizes and awards for their hard work.

The part I really like is the Rewards for Work. They have a monthly calendar you can print out, and as the kids help around the house, you mark it off. Once they fill in the calendar, they get a FREE Day pass to the Water Park! Woo, hoo! FREE!! My kids already do little tasks around the house, so this will be a great way to incent them and make them feel rewarded for their assistance. Considering the day passes range from $20-$25, for two kids I that need to pay...that saves me approx. $50!

Finally, they have a Rewards for Reading program. Again, you get a calendar and mark off as they read. Once they have read 10 books, they get a Free Arcade Card. So fun!

I hope if you live up where it is brrr....cold in the winter, you can take advantage of this program, too. I plan to enjoy swimming this fall and winter with the kids! I can't wait!

And, a huge thank you to Nicole from my Moms Club for spilling the beans on this great deal!

1st off I would like to tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog on a regular basis ~ keep up the good work!
2nd, thank you sooooooo much for posting this! I live in a small town where there is next to NOTHING (we do have a playground/park w/a pool) to do w/the kids. When I first started reading this post, I thought "this is awesome for those who actually LIVE near 1 of them"...I continued reading anyhow (because I read ALL of your posts!) & discovered there is 1 (coming soon) in Fitchburg, MA which is the next town over from me!! I probably never would have heard of this great incentive for my kids, so again, THANK YOU!!

Glad you guys will be able to take advantage.

I am not sure what I am looking forward to more...the water park, or my kids HAVING to do some chores if they want to go.....both sound great to me!
