Mobile Xpressions - Survey/Research Site

I have been having a good run on surveys. This week, I got paid another $10 due to Palm Research and got another check from My Survey. And, I am getting closer to cashing out on a few of the other survey sites.

I am always on the look out for more legit survey sites, so if you use any that I don't have listed feel free to share.

This week, I wanted to introduce a new site.

Mobile Xpressions

If you own a mobile phone ( and I am sure most of you do ) you may qualify for this research panel.

Mobile Xpressions is a research site that will monitor your mobile internet usage and application usage. It is similar to what Nielsen does for TV. Marketers want to see what sites/applications are widely used, what time for how long, etc.

If you have a phone and it does not allow you to access the internet, you can still register and request they send you an invite once they get a program up and running for your phone. That is what I had to do, since I only have an LG flip phone. Mine is a pretty basic phone that I got free, of course. :)

When you join, you will automatically be entered to win a prize. And, it is not a giveaway. You will win a prize, it just depends what it may be. You will win one of the following:

New and Updated Instructions

I have been reading around the web that a few new tricks are in place to earn credit for online offers. I haven't been able to determine if these extra steps are required, but it appears these steps trigger credit on specific offers you complete for specific sites. Since it doesn't always appear to be the case, but is in some cases I decided to update the instructions for all sites. This way, we are being safe.

Whatever the case, they are very easy steps:

During the beginning survey questions ( where you usually have the option to skip them all ) click YES to at least 2 of them. You do not need to sign up for anything, as clicking yes will simply open a new window explaining the offer. But, it gives you the opportunity to read more and decide if an offer is for you. So, I am just randomly picking 2 I think I would be interested in myself.
After you complete all your offers, now go to the Bonus Offers page and click on one of the bonus offers. Again, you don't have to complete it but simply have it open in another window and it gives you the chance to read more about that particular bonus offer.

If you haven't don't this in the past, do not worry. It shouldn't affect anything, but just a few extra steps to ensure proper crediting going forward depending on what sites you do. Better to be safe than sorry.

AT&T DSL Settlement - Receive up to $2.90 per Month

Over the last few years, I have actually heard from people that their AT&T DSL was terrible, slow and they were very unhappy.

So when I saw this DSL Settlement information, I immediately thought of them. In fact, I thought of all my blog readers who may also have been or are customers of AT&T.

The lawsuit claims that AT&T was limiting the speed of DSL service below the maximum rate for plans purchased and delivering speeds at below what was promised.

There is a proposed settlement that has been reached in a class action suit and is pending.

The details are:

AT&T DSL customer in the U.S. AFTER March 31, 1994
If records show your speed below the designated rate ( they will check this, you don't need to go thru records )
Receive $2.90 for each month it was below
If speed below certain thresholds , you may be eligible to receive $2.00 a month for each such month
You will receive only one ( either the $2.90 or the $2.00 if you fall into a category, but not both )
If records do not show you fall into either of these categories but you still believe your speed was low, you may still receive a $2.00 payment
AT&T will also pay $3.75 million to charity as part of the settlement

For all my neighbors in Butler and Warren County, this may be your opportunity to venture up to the Schuster Center in Dayton to see the Dayton Philharmonic.

Today, my RSVP cards arrived in the mail. These are postcards that are mailed to many homes with multiple coupon and promotional offers for local establishments.
