Update:American Idol Study - New Members Earn $3 to Register

Update:

The link has appeared to change since last night when I posted and is no longer going to the AI Study sign up.

I will contact them and get back with you on a resolution asap. Until then, hold off on signing up!

If you are a fan of American Idol ( or even a first time viewer ), this will be an interesting study!

HCD Surveys is conducting an American Idol study which starts next week. They are gathering votes parallel to the actual American Idol votes and will be posting results.

The difference? American Idol allows voters to cast their vote over and over again.

This study will only allow each person to vote one time giving them a fair snapshot of who the winner would be. The results will be posted on Media Curves.

As a bonus, if you register for this study and are also a new member to HCD Surveys, you will get 300 points ( $3 ) just for signing up! Not bad!

Click here to register for the American Idol Study!

Already a member and still want to take part? Fill out the form and type your login/password when filling the form out.

Hurry - Consumer Village Survey for the First 2000

Snow days in Ohio this year seem to be coming one right after each other. And, it has been a great time for me to spend time with all my kids ( none of them are off at school ) and a great time to catch up on surveys and Market Research screeners.

So, I wanted to alert everyone that Consumer Village ( read more on this company here ) may have a study opportunity in your account. Mine was added to my account at 11 PM and it is only for the first 2,000. Since I don't get invites from this company weekly, like some of the others, I am always excited when they come thru and hurry to take them before they meet their quota.

So, check your accounts now. It was an interesting study and I earned me another 150 points. Even if you don't qualify, you will still get 20 points.

New to Consumer Village? Click here to sign up and begin earning Amazon Gift Cards!

I am also happy to report that after signing up with Honest Insite last week, I already got my first survey worth 450 points for 10 minutes. Did you get yours?

Reminder: All You Magazine - 67 Cents an Issue or $8 a year

Reminder: Today is the LAST day to get All You at 67 cents an issue, or just over $8 a year!

If you haven't ever bought an All You magazine before, it is great mag for those that are coupon shoppers. Each issue is full of manufacturer coupons worth $50 or more.

I couldn't pass up this deal. I am taking advantage and get 40 extra issues ( that is 3 years and 4 months for those like me who had to figure it out ) for $27.

If you are new to the magazine All You, then it is definitely one money savers want to get every month. Most of the magazines I receive I got for $0 of pocket thru special promotions, etc. But, All You is the only magazine will pay for each month due to all the coupons. F

For February, there are approx. $50 worth of coupons.

It is not only a great magazine but also in just chuck full of coupons. Yes, I know, this is my 3rd post today on couponing. But, you can save your family SO much money by matching coupons with sale items each week. Use that extra money you save ( track it ) and pay off debt, set up your retirement account, college savings accounts, etc. Saving money is important, just as earning is...and you don't pay taxes on savings! :)

Anyway, back to All You!

On their website, they are selling it for $1.99 an issue w/subscription or approx. $24 a year. You are getting over 3 years for almost the same price.

And, the other promotion I shared last year for this magazine was $10 thru Southern Living. So, this is even cheaper than that.

This promotion is thru Campus Fundraiser. Usually, they sell magazines and a portion of those funds go to a designated college. But, they are taking that portion and passing it back to us! This is how you are getting such a low price.

67 Cents an Issue - All You

Would you like to get your magazine or add on these additional years to your current subscription?
  • Update: This promotion is now over! Click here to order by February 13th
  • Click on the Support our Group link on that page
  • Order 40 issues of All You for $40
  • Campus Fundraiser then issues a $13 credit back to your payment method bringing your cost to $27
  • The refund will show up within 2 to 5 days, depending on your payment method. Debit card refunds seem to show up quicker than credit card refunds, for whatever reason.
Some other tips:
  • If adding on to a current subscription, make sure all information is exactly the same
  • Want 2 subscriptions each month for the coupons then order one in another name (spouse, etc)
  • Once you place your order, wait up to 24 hours for payment confirmation email.
  • The $13 credit only applies to magazines that are $40. So, there are other titles to choose from, if you are interested.
  • Your subscription will begin in 10 to 12 weeks
Enjoy!

$4 for 20 Purex Laundry Detergents plus More

Technically, I only paid $1.95 at Kroger, but I added the cost of eBay, and am right under $4 with both.

Since the sale was so great on laundry detergent this week, I decided to stock pile. We should be set for quite awhile, which will save us on future shopping trips. And, don't worry everyone, there were TONS left at the stores I hit.

Why I am writing this post is to share some helpful tips:

  • You can order coupons on eBay when great sales like this come around. I got the coupons free, but you do have to pay the cost of the labor for the seller to cut, ship and mail them to you. I spent $1.98 for 20 coupons.
  • Your Kroger MAY limit you on how many items you can find.
My store manager was NOT happy with me today. I checked out with my very first set ( 2 laundry detergents and an apple, which was 25 cents ). My total came to $.10 after coupons. I had a $4 Catalina from when I had shopped earlier in the week and bought 2 Purex detergents, so my total came to 10 cents.

The clerk looked at the total and said, "hold on." She went and got the manager and asked if this was OK for me to only pay 10 cents.

The manager said yes, that the coupons were valid, but that I could not do my next transaction because it was for my next shopping trip. So, I asked how long I had to leave the store and come back. I had my mom with me, and wanted to make sure I knew when I could come back to get more.

I think she was surprised I asked, because she said, "That's fine." So, the clerk rang up 2 more transactions. But, then the manager came back and said, "No more. You can have these 6, but that is it."

They took the rest back and so I left paying 30 cents. I was happy with that. My next Kroger is just down the road, so for this type of savings, it was worth going to the next location.

At that store, we didn't have any issues.

When I got home, I called Kroger to see what their coupon policy is, since I have never had an issue before.

I was told:

EACH store, the manager has the discretion to decide if they will accept, deny or limit the amount of coupons a customer can use.

So, go in knowing you may be limited. If I had known that, I would have asked the manager on the way in first so I hadn't wheeled so many up to the front of the store. Would have saved me time and them time restocking the shelves.

You may want to stop at the customer service desk when going in the store to ask if they have a limit.

My store has a limit of 6, I found out, per my manger. :) Good to know. And, this doesn't mean you can't go to another store or shop another day. I was told I could come back another time.

  • If your Catalina doesn't print, don't fret!

Here are some helpful hints going forward. If you check your printed coupons each shopping trip, often times the upcoming Catalina deals will print out there. I keep these in the front of my coupon carrier for future reference or back up.

If you saw the upcoming Catalina deal in a paper or ad, just tear it out and keep it with your coupons.

For this particular deal, I have a copy of the print out. Let me know if you need it and I can email it to you. I have already had to send it to someone else when their $4 didn't print, and I don't mind at all.

I think that is it! Enjoy this great stockpiling event!
